So I was stressing about what to do for my Valentine's Day post because everyone freaks out about what they are going to wear for their dates. I wanted to be able to give multiple looks for different styles. Sooooo I walked into work and said, "Surprise girls! Put together a date outfit and you get to be on the blog!" My response was a lot of eye rolling, groaning (ughhh), and all the girls abandoning their work stations and running to the mirrors to fix their hair and make up.
What is most important for putting together an outfit for any event is embracing your personal style. You will always feel the most comfortable if you simply feel like your best YOU.
Below is the outfit each of us put together for our imaginary dates with our imaginary boyfriends ;)
Allie went for a little more casual look which she dressed up with a heeled bootie and a long necklace. And a fierce hip pop (she doesn't leave the house without it) ;)
Top: Liberty Garden
Pants: Endless Rose
Booties: MIA
Necklace: Luv AJ
Fierce Hip Pop: born with it
BL will be the first to tell you that she feels more comfortable in a skirt than she does pants (I mean they ARE kind of restricting). She paired this asymmetrical skirt with a sporty lace top. And some leather accessaries can never hurt!
Top: BCBGeneration
Skirt: Grethel
Booties: Freebird by Steven
Bag: BedStu
Meagan is apparently expecting an expensive dinner from her date (we're talking steak and lobster here!) Because she went with a super flirty look with a flowy dress and a fitted blazer. Complete with comfy booties, a bronze envelope clutch, and hat.
Dress: BCBG
Blazer: BCBGeneration
Hat: Christy's
Clutch: BCBGeneration
Watch: Red Monkey
Booties: Dolce Vita
I actually wore lipstick...that's all that matters here. Juuuust kidding. My date look is geared a little more towards an art show or concert kind of look. I'm not big on fancy dinners. I took this feminine dress and paired it with some quilted leather leggings to make the outfit a little more active and mobile. And I'd much prefer a pair of flat booties over heels just in case I need to bust a move at any given second ;) (I mean you just never know.)
Dress: BCBGeneration
Leggings: BCBG
Booties: Freebird by Steven
Bag: BedStu
Hat: Christy's
Necklaces: iSanctuary, Sarah Smith, All the Wire
Bracelet: 31Bits
Family/Single Ladies photo sesh!
Remember Valentine's Day isn't just about couples. It's about love. And I love these girls so I'm going to dinner with them for MY Valentine's Day! We all hope you have a wonderful V-Day. Don't eat too much chocolate...or do.
Tell us which look is your fav in the comment below!
P.S. Don't forget you can get these complete looks in store at Duck & Dressing, or order on the links below each look.

I like the first one (the pants are so unique) and the third one is very romantic and feminine. Wish you had a store closer to where I live.
